What we build

Two things, done properly

Most South Florida backyards need one of two things: a modern structure that carries a kitchen, a television and full shade, or a traditional thatched hut that gives you deep shade and a breeze. We build both, and we will tell you which one suits your yard.

Pergolas

Freestanding and attached pergolas in aluminium and wood — open rafters, louvered roofs or solid insulated panels, drawn to the span your yard actually needs.

  • Custom, aluminium, wood and louvered structures
  • Lighting, fans, speakers and screens designed in
  • Pool decks, patios, outdoor kitchens and driveways

Tiki hut photography is on its way.

Every photograph on this site is a structure we actually built, so nothing goes here until the tiki hut photography does. Placeholder tag for the site owner: [TIKI_HUT_PHOTOS_NEEDED]

In the meantime, the pergola and outdoor living gallery shows the framing, finishing and site work that go into every structure we build.

Tiki Huts

Traditional open-sided tiki and chickee huts — a timber frame under a steeply pitched palm-thatch roof that gives deep shade without shutting out the breeze.

Why Machin Solutions

What actually separates a good structure from a cheap one

  • Drawn for your yard, not picked from a catalogue

Spans, post positions and roof type follow the space, the pool, the door you walk out of and where the sun actually lands.

  • Built for South Florida weather

Full sun, driving summer rain, salt air near the water and hurricane season are the design conditions here, not edge cases.

  • The connections are the structure

Footings sized for the loads, anchor hardware rated for uplift, and beam-to-post connections that transfer force instead of just resting on it.

  • Finished, not just framed

Lighting, fans, speakers, soffit panels and screens are planned into the frame from the start rather than surface-mounted afterwards.

  • One crew, start to finish

The people who measure your yard are the people who build in it. Nothing gets handed off to a subcontractor who never saw the site.

  • You get your yard back

The site is cleaned up before we leave it. A finished structure and a yard full of offcuts is not a finished job.

How it works

From first message to finished structure

No surprises and no vanishing act halfway through. Here is exactly how a project runs from your first message to the day you get the yard back.

  1. Tell us what you want to build

Send photos of the space, rough dimensions and what you want to do under the structure. That is enough for a first, honest read on what will work.

  2. Site visit and measurements

We come out, measure properly, check access for materials, look at where footings can go, and see how the structure would meet the house and the pool deck.

  3. Design and written estimate

You get a design drawn for your yard — spans, post positions, roof type, finishes and everything built in — with a written estimate against it.

  4. Approvals and fabrication

Drawings and paperwork go where they need to go, and the frame is fabricated to the approved dimensions while that runs.

  5. Installation

Footings, frame, roof, then the finishing work — lighting, fans, screens, soffit panels. Your yard gets cleaned up before we leave it.

Questions

What people ask before they build

If your question is not here, ask it on the quote form — it gets answered by a person.

What does Machin Solutions build?

Custom pergolas, tiki huts and outdoor living structures for homes across Miami and South Florida — freestanding and attached pergolas, poolside cabanas, outdoor kitchen covers, and traditional thatched tiki and chickee huts. Every structure is drawn for the specific yard it goes into rather than picked from a catalogue of stock sizes.

How much does a pergola or tiki hut cost in South Florida?

Cost is driven by span, height, material and what gets built into the structure. A compact two-post pergola over a grill area sits at one end; a wide cantilevered structure with a solid insulated roof, lighting, fans, a media wall and a full outdoor kitchen sits at the other. The honest answer is that a number given before anyone has seen the yard is a guess. Send photos and rough dimensions through the quote form and you will get a real figure for your project.

Do I need a permit for a pergola or tiki hut?

Permitting is set by your city or county building department, and what it requires depends on the structure — its size, height, whether it is attached to the house, how it is anchored, and where it sits on the lot. Requirements differ between Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe County. [PERMIT_POLICY] — fill in here whether Machin Solutions pulls the permit, works alongside your permit, or refers you to a permit expediter.

How long does a project take from first call to finished structure?

The build itself is usually the shortest part. Most of the calendar goes to design revisions, engineering drawings where they are needed, permit review at the local building department, and material lead times on custom-fabricated aluminium. [LEAD_TIME] — add realistic typical timelines here once you have them.

Which areas do you serve?

Miami-Dade and Broward counties, plus the Upper Keys — Miami, Homestead, Kendall, Hialeah, Doral, Coral Gables, Cutler Bay, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood and the surrounding cities. If you are just outside that footprint, ask anyway.

Can you work around an existing pool, deck or screen enclosure?

Yes — most of the work is exactly that. Footings get placed around existing pool shells, plumbing and deck drains; attached structures tie into the existing roof line; and freestanding structures are set so they clear an enclosure rather than fight it. That planning happens at the site visit, before anything is ordered.
